How often should I receive massage therapy?
Each client presents with unique health challenges and goals. After assessing your individual needs we can work together to outline a treatment plan. When addressing a specific musculoskeletal problem, it is often beneficial to receive treatment once a week or more often for the first few weeks. Sessions are then spread out accordingly as the condition improves.
What qualifications does my massage therapist have?
It is important that your therapist maintain licensure in the state where he or she practices. Therapists in our office are licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio. Your therapist may have additional certifications in specific types of bodywork.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Your comfort and privacy are extremely important to us. During a typical PNMT session you will remain fully clothed or partially clothed. To allow for testing and movement during the session, clients wear shorts, sweats, sports bras, tank tops... it depends on what we're treating. For a general massage session you will undress to your level of comfort and we will use sheets, towels and proper positioning to maintain your privacy.
What is your cancellation policy?
You may cancel your appointment without penalty up to 24 hours preceding your scheduled appointment time. Same day cancellations will be charged a minimum $40 late cancel fee. No-shows will be charged full price for the scheduled service. If you are ill or have a valid emergency, please contact Cincy BodyWork with as much notice as possible to reschedule without penalty.
Will my insurance cover massage therapy?
Some insurance companies cover massage therapy when properly prescribed by a physician. If you wish to seek reimbursement from your insurance company, we will gladly provide you with an itemized receipt.
Injured at work?
Our PNMT therapists are certified providers for the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC).
